Founded by husband and wife, the mission behind 8 percent ministry was inspired by a book titled "Kisses from Katie", a song called "I refuse" by Josh Wilson, and a very clear message from God. Founded in 2016, this ministry focuses upon sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as well as providing educational and economical opportunities to victims of sex trafficking and domestic violence. 8 percent Ministry also works towards changing the statistics of orphans globally. There are 164.8 million needy children and 2.1 billion Christians. If just 8% of those Christians added or supported one child there would be no statistic left.
